About Us

Sarabah Estate is a 50 acre property in the Sarabah Valley owned by Cam and Kandy Dearsly. We established our vineyard in 2004 when we planted just over 4 acres of Merlot. At that time we had built what was to become our horse stables, well in 2005 we planted another 2.5 acres in Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2.5 acres of Shiraz in 2006. In 2007 we planted about an acre of Verdelho and the same of Viognier. All of the varieties have developed beyond our expectations, and Merlot will be our signature wine (as it’s our favourite drink). We have now extended our Merlot range to include the Venus Rose’ which is available now from the Cellar Door and is just a really fun style wine, and soon we will be trying the Merlot Sparkling.

A lot of inspiration for Sarabah Estate has been from ideas we got from our travel overseas, which you will be able to check out when you visit the cellar door. We look forward to meeting with you soon.

We also have approval for 6 lodges which we intend to build in the next couple of years, and a winery which we hope to start in the near future also.
